There was no doubt that Nate was on Chucks mind, he was at the back of his mind yet Chuck didn't hear what his mind was saying. He had blanked it off. It was like his body and his head were two seperate things and for this moment he had detatched his head and left it outside along with his conscience and his common sense.
Everything about what he was doing was so so wrong but it just felt so so right. He just couldn't hold himself back no matter how stupid this was. Nate was his friend and Blair had been his girl since kindergarten. Still, he didn't care at that moment all that mattered was him and Blair right then and the sparks between them.
The hand that had clossed the curtain soon found it's way to Blair's back and his lips pushed hard and deep against hers as he kissed her. He entangled himself into the moment so if and when his conscience and head did catch up with him, he still couldn't have got himself out of this. He forced himself into the moment so far that there was no turing back. Her back hit the wall of the cubical and let his hands wander a little down her back to the ruffles of the dress. "I didn't get a chance to say how great the dress looks" he said though his lips hardly lefter hers and lingered just infront of her, his warm breath tickling her skin with each syllable he spoke.

She smiled at him. She didn't want anything to ruin this moment. Things were perfect right now. And better yet, Chuck didn't pull away this time. She ran her fingers through his hair, and as the dress and the small room they were in, it was sure getting hotter in there by the second.
Blair leaned her forehead against Chuck's. Their lips apart as he spoke. She pecked his lips a few more times with hers. Her phone began to ring. "Chuck." She spoke out in between kisses. She gently pushed him back. "Nate's calling me." She said as she looked into his eyes. "Sorry."
She said as she turned around and looked for her phone through her bag that was laying on the floor. She finally found it and looked at the screen as it rang. She hit the button to answer it. "Hi Nate." She said as she looked at Chuck.

Nate waited impaciently for his girlfriend to pick up. The two had been going through a bit of a rough patch after the rumors about her and Chuck that had been circulating and though both his bestfriend and his girlfriend had denied everything something had him unconvinced. It left him feeling even more protective of Blair and paranoid as hell. He had begger her to just stay away from Chuck for a while, until things cooled off and everything settled again.
He had planned to call her earlier but go chucked into an uproar with his parents once again. They were driving him crazy recently and it had taken him a good hour to get away long enough to call Blair. "Hey Blair. Sorry I havn't called all day, the Captain has been on my back all day about some detention thing." he explained and was about to speek more when he heard the all too familiar voice of Chucks in the back ground.
The sales woman of the store had heard them and had swung the curtain open and Chuck was trying to explain what was going on without her going over the top "You two were making out, I heard it!" the woman insisted. "She had a problem with her zipper..." Chuck ushered the woman away as he gave Blair an 'oh shit' sort of look.
"What the hell Blair?" Nate said, he had no idea what to say or what to do at that moment. "You were making out with him? I though we had an agreement, you said you weren't going to see him for a while and now you kissing. Where the hell are you Blair!" his tone was a combonation of shock, anger, frustration and even confusion. He didn't know what to think of everything and he didn't know if he should believe what ever the random in the background had been saying. "I believed both of you. God I'm an idiot..." he was partially talking to himself and to her.

While she was hearing Nate talk and ramble on, she got mad, and looked at Chuck. She pushed him out of the room so she could change. "I... uh... I'm in the dress store in Times Square." She said as she slipped the dress of and began getting dressed in the clothes she had gone out with. When she was done getting dressed she opened the curtain and held the dress in her hand, with her bag over her shoulder and her phone to her ear. "I'll meet you outside." She said to Nate and then she hung up the phone. She put it back in her bag, and looked at Chuck. "Way to go Bass." She said as she walked toward the cashier to pay for the dress. She didn't look at him after that.
When she got to the cashier she held the dress on the counter and smiled at the lady like there was nothign wrong. Although the lady looked at Blair like she had a million heads, Blair just smiled sweetly and then paid her for the amount of the dress using the credit card her mother gave her a while ago. As the lady handed her the bag, she took it and walked towards the door.
She pivited on her heel and turned to Chuck. "Just so you know, Nate is on his way here right now. So if I were you I'd get lost. Fast." Though Blair didn't want to be mad at Chuck, she was. He ruined the whole thing, well actually it was all her fault for answering her phone. She leaned up towards his ear and whispered. "Meet me at my house later." She said in a low seductive whisper, and then she looked in his eyes. She didn't want anything to be ruined with nate, and she knew she had to make things perfect with him. Or at least that's what she thought. Blair turned around and walked outside, to wait for her boyfriend.

Chuck had calmed the sales woman a little, well he had shut her up for the time being. He ganced over at the curtain as he heard Blair's words and sighed to himself. The woman gave him the dirtiest look imaginable and he just pulled a face at her before returning his eyes to the curtain as Blair pulled it open and stormed over. Had he been given a chance he would have butted in to buy the dress but she seemed so mad that she might bite his arm off if he went to put his card over hers.
"way to go Bass?" he repeated slightly annoyed by her tone and her blame. She was out if the door before he could continue and he followed her quickly. She hadn't had to tell him Nate was on his way. Though part of him wanted to be around when Nate got her to help Blair explain he decided that was really not the best idea and he would stick to her advise and get out of her before Nate arrived. Absentmindedly he paged his driver who was no doubt parked somewhere around here reading a newspaper as he always did.
The black limo pulled up just as Blair told him to meet her tonight and he grinned his agreement. "I'll see you then" he said wanting to kiss her before he left but didn't dare too, not in the middle of times square. That was both stupid and suicidal. With that said he climbed into his limo and was gone before you could say Chuck Bass leaving Blair alone, waiting for Nate.

Nate slammed his cell phone shut without another word. His hand wrapped tightly around the phone until it buled red and started to hurt. After a moment he stormed for his keys, wallet and coat and stomped down the stairs past his father who shouted something like "Where the hell do you think you going" Nate was so mad he didn't even hear the words, just a blur that he decided to ignore.
He was almost sure that he knew what was going on now. His best friend and his girlfriend were fooling around behind his back. He didn't know if the rumors about them screwing in Chuck's limo but he was certain that there was something going on and he intended to get to the bottom of it even if it meant he had to make a scene in the middle of times square. He doubted he would do that though. He'd wait until they got somewhere a little quieter before he got his anger out of his system.
He flagged down a cab and climbed into the yellow veicle "Times Square" he said harshly and with that the cabbie pulled out and made the short drive from his town house to Times Square stopping at the store Blair stood outside of. Nate threw a twenty at the driver and got out without another murmer and slammed the door behind himself. "I need coffee, come on..." he said to Blair. His tone was flat and emotionless, blocking off all of his feelings for the time being. Without her agreement he started to walk in the direction of the closest Sarbucks. His veins boiled with his anger but he kept himsels as composed as posible. Only his bright blue eyes gave away his mood. The were cold and hard, like ice.

Blair watched as Chuck got in his limo and the driver drove off. There was nothing she could do now but wait. She remembered the night she told Chuck she loved him, how he just left her, but he soon came back. She loved that night. It was such a wonderful night to her.
As she started down the block she saw a taxi pull up and Nate get out. She hated the way he was, when he was mad. But all she wanted to do was to explain everything to him. "Nate." She said as she followed him into a Starbucks, and then as they stood on line waiting to be served. She stood in front of him and looked up at him, pulling on hyis jacket a bit and then she held his hands. "Nate please listen." She said looking into his eyes, she pleaded with him.
She wasn't sure he would listen to her or even believe anything she would say but she had to try. After all she wanted to make things work with them, and she truly wanted to be with him. She took her leather gloves off and slipped them into her purse. She switched hands while holding the bag that her new dress was in. She looked up at Nate and held his hands in hers. She leaned up and bit and whispered to him. "I am sorry, I just need you to listen." She said as she let her lips press up against his.

There was something cooling, calming and even comforting about Blair's voice through his anger and though it was her that he was angery with, it still seemed to chill his nervs just a little. Still he didn't say anything, he didn't look at her until they reach the starbucks, until they were in the warm room in the short line. Then he looked down ar her, when she asked him to listen. He still had that harsh, cold edge to his blue eyes but it was weaker than before.
She kissed him lightly and he couldn't help but respond slightly though he made it a short kiss, more like a peck than anything. "I'm listening" he said it though his words were a lot softer than he had intended for them to be. He didn't want to act soft right now, he wanted to know the truth.
Or at least he thought he did. He had no idea what he would do if she told him that she done things with Chuck. He didn't know if he would ever be able to forgive her, and if he did, would he ever be able to trust her again. He knew he had done some bad things in the past on the same kind of scale but she had handled it much better than he imagined himself handling it. This was much more public and it was differnt because, well, he was a guy. It was almost expect of him. Sexist as that is.

Blair smiled and leaned up to kiss his cheek. She waited for him to tell the guy what he wanted but that was taking forever. So she decided to tell him now, but she'd keep it to a low whisper. "Nate." She said as she rested her head against his shoulder. "I didn't sleep with Chuck." She said as she played with his fingers twirling them around her own. She looked up at him and smiled. Then she leaned up and kissed his cheek, but kept her face close to his as she whispered. "I'd never hurt you that way."

Nate linked his fingers with her almost naturally, instinctivly, and let out a sigh. His head was telling him that she was lying and that he shouldn't give in but the rest of him just wanted to give it up. He wanted to trust her and he was making himself trust her with the help of having her close. He kissed her lips and held their hands in the small space between them as he looked into her eyes.
He had no idea how she did it but she had forced him to back down and pushed all of his worries away. Making him belive what he wanted to belive, that they were alright. "I love you Blair Waldorf, you know that right" he said quietly as he stared into her eyes but didn't take them in, he worried that if he did that he would see that she was lying. He moved his lips to kiss her before he was interupted by a rude and impatient cashier that made him pull away and let got of her just keeping hold of one of her hands in his. "Er, sorry. Black coffee please and..." he looked to Blair wondering what she wanted. He knew what she usually got but when ever he seemed to order it for her she was going all rebellious and getting something different. He just didn't bother anymore.

Blair smiled up at him and shook her head. She didn't want anything, only him, and she motioned so, by wrapping both her amrs around his one arm and holding him close to her, while she leaned her head against his shoulder. She smiled up at him, and then looked at the cashier. All she wanted was Nate. And she was so glad he listened to what she had to say and all the truth that she told him. Well to her being with Nate was more than what she ever wanted. She'd have to talk to Chuck later.
When he left to go make Nate his drink, she leaned up and whispered softly in his ear. "And I love you Nate Archibald." She said as she kissed him from his ear down to his neck. Softly and as gentle as she could, still with her arms wrapped around his.

Love was something Nate had only ever had with Blair on account that her had never really been in a relationship with anyone else before. Sure he had had that fling, one night stand thing with Serena and him and Jenny had almost hit it off when he had Blair were on a long break but never long enough to actually fall in love, not the way he had with Blair. He had been dating his Blair Bear since kindergarten and though they had had their rough patches, they had made it all the way to 17. They had made it 11 whole years with only one long break. He had to say, that was an acheivment.
He still had that rage in his body but it was in a place he could not locate, he was storing it for someone else, someone he wouldn't feel quite as bad for when he released it all. Poor Chuck Bass. Or not. How ever you look at it. He kept her close to him as he waited for his drink and even when he went for the table he kept her close behind him and pulled her onto his knee when he found a free booth and kissed her cheek. How was he supposed to doubt a word she said when she was just so, so perfect. When they were so perfect. He sighed and was swept with another serious feeling that he had to get out of his sytem. "Just promise me one thing..." he paused "Two things..." he paused again. "Stay out of Chuck's way, I just don't trust him with you Blair." that was his first one. "And promise me you'll never leave me?" he said, this was more of a hopeful wish than a slightly demanding want. He had heard it say it before but, right at that moment, he needed to hear it again. As some reasurance.

Blair also waited for him to get his drink, and it seemed like the guy was taking forever to make a simple thing. Black coffee. It really wasn't that hard to make. Not that difficult. She thought as she rolled her eyes and waited for the guy to give it to her boyfriend. Finally, after getting the drink, they wen to go sit down, and she got chills down her spine when he pulled her to sit on his lap. And when he kissed her cheek.
She listened to what he wanted, and when she heard him say And promise me you'll never leave me, that gave her even more chills. Was Blair still, really in love with Nate? And was whatever she felt for Chuck, merely just confusion? Wow, she hated being this confused. But when Nate told her the two things, all she did was nod. "Oh Nate!" She said as she suddenly became at a loss for worlds, and trears started to well up in her eyes. She threw her arms around his neck and rested her head next to his. "I promise you, and I'll never leave you." She said and just like that she couldn't fight them anymore, as they began to over power her. The tears fell from her eyes.
